Last May 25–29, 2026, the Barangay Wack-Wack Greenhills East (BWWGE) Fire EMTs Team B completed the Comprehensive Patient Care Training for EMTs – Common Competencies at the BWWGE Barangay Hall and Fire Station.

Led by Ms. Jerrily R. Dizon, the training covered important topics such as Infection Control, Handling Difficult Behavior, and Providing Quality Patient Service.

While EMTs are trained to respond quickly during emergencies, patient care skills help them respond even better. Knowing how to communicate with patients, manage difficult situations, and maintain a safe environment allows EMTs to provide not only fast medical assistance but also compassionate and professional care when people need it most.

Through continuous learning and skills enhancement, BWWGE Fire EMTs are better prepared to serve their community with confidence, competence, and care.

Mastering the art of care, one fold and setting at a time.

Batch 35 put their skills to the test last May 29, 2026 at Da Vinci Allied Health Sciences Training Institute. Under the expert guidance of their instructor, Cinderella H. Rañeses, our future caregivers put to practice their Table Setting and Napkin Folding skills.

This hands-on activity taught our students precision, organization, and attention to detail. In real-world patient care, a beautifully arranged meal does so much more than look good. It stimulates appetite, promotes dignity, and creates a comforting dining experience that lifts a patient's spirits.

On May 21, 2026, our Caregiving (Elderly) Batch 1 students, guided by Trainer Ms. Jerrily R. Dizon together with School Directress Ms. Emily T. Muyot, conducted a Free Vital Signs Monitoring activity at the TESDA PaMaMariSan Office.

This community-based activity was conducted to provide basic health monitoring services and promote health awareness among TESDA personnel, while giving students the opportunity to apply their caregiving skills in a real-life setting.

Through hands-on practice, students enhanced their confidence and competence in taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse rate, temperature, and respiratory rate. The activity also strengthened their communication skills, professionalism, and sense of compassion as they engaged with individuals in a service-oriented environment.

More than a learning experience, this initiative reflects the spirit of care and community service that shapes our future caregivers.

The Barangay Wack-Wack Greenhills East (BWWGE) Fire EMT’s Team B officially began their first week of the Comprehensive Patient Care Training for EMT at Barangay Wack-Wack Greenhills East, Mandaluyong City, under the guidance of Trainer Ms. Jerrily R. Dizon.

Recognizing the importance of following a unified system of knowledge, procedures, and practices within the team, BWWGE chose to undergo the training once again under Da Vinci, ensuring alignment in emergency response standards. This commitment strengthens shared understanding, consistency, preparedness, and efficiency when responding to emergency situations.

During the first week of training, participants focused on essential foundational skills such as vital signs monitoring, strengthening communication within the team during patient care, identifying and addressing workplace challenges, and practicing proper occupational health and safety procedures.

Through these basic and core competencies, Team B is building not only technical skills, but also teamwork, awareness, and discipline needed in real-life emergency response. This continuous development reinforces their commitment to delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate care to the community.

Turning skills into healthcare careers 💉

Alinsunod sa layunin ni Pangulong Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. na gawing mas abot-kamay ang dekalidad na healthcare para sa bawat Pilipino, patuloy na pinalalakas ng TESDA ang health-related training programs sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni TESDA Secretary Kiko Benitez.

Sa pamamagitan ng technical vocational education and training (TVET), mas maraming Pilipino ang nabibigyan ng oportunidad na magkaroon ng skills, national certification, at trabaho sa healthcare sector, mula caregiving at health support services hanggang community-based care.

Sa TESDA, bawat training ay hakbang tungo sa makabuluhang karera at mas maayos na serbisyong pangkalusugan para sa komunidad.

On May 16, 2026, students from Caregiving Batches 35 & 39 and Caregiving Elderly Batch 1 of Da Vinci Allied Health Sciences Training Institute took part in the “Break the Stigma: Mental Health Awareness” event held at the Twinville Civic Center, Marikina City. The session was conducted by Dr. Donna Mae Lyn B. Santiago, MD, FPNA, and coordinated by Ms. Cynthia Alburo of Twinville Homeowners Officers group and Ms. Jerrily R. Dizon, Da Vinci School Administrator.

The event aimed to raise awareness about mental health, promote understanding and acceptance, and encourage open conversations about emotional well-being. It also highlighted the importance of empathy in caregiving and how future caregivers can support others while also caring for their own mental health.

Through this meaningful gathering, students were encouraged to build a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment for the individuals they will serve in the future — where mental health is understood, respected, and valued. 💙
