PHICS ADVISORY FOR HEALTHCARE WORKERS AND HEALTHCARE FACILITIES ON PREVENTIVE MEASURES AMID RISING COVID-19 CASES

PHICS Advisory | Rising COVID-19 Cases

The Philippine Hospital Infection Control Society (PHICS), Inc., reminds all healthcare workers and healthcare facilities to remain vigilant as COVID-19 cases show a recent increase. While most reported infections are mild, consistent infection prevention practices remain our strongest defense in protecting our patients, our colleagues, and our communities.

We encourage everyone to continue practicing evidence-based preventive measures, including targeted masking when appropriate, proper hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette, staying home when sick, ensuring adequate ventilation, keeping vaccinations up to date, and helping combat misinformation through responsible risk communication.

Healthcare facilities are likewise encouraged to review their infection prevention and control policies based on local risk assessments while maintaining safe and sustainable practices.

Together, let us continue to protect one another through informed, practical, and consistent infection prevention measures.

We were deeply honored to host our distinguished guest speaker, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗙. 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴, 𝗥𝗡 (IPC Senior Supervising Nurse from JBLMGH and President of the PHICNA Central Luzon Chapter).

Mr. Galang shared invaluable insights on upgrading our healthcare networks, refining surveillance and monitoring systems, and fostering closer collaboration across chapters to ensure utmost patient safety and institutional resilience. His expertise serves as a powerful reminder that robust IPC protocols are the backbone of a safer healthcare ecosystem. 🌟

As a symbol of our shared dedication, our team also conducted a Commitment Tree activity, where every participant pledged their personal and professional commitment to strict infection prevention and control practices. 🌿✍️

Alongside our enlightening seminar, our team set up interactive educational booths, distributed hygiene kits, and celebrated the collective effort it takes to keep our community safe.

Ang doxycycline ay isang antibiotic na ginagamit laban sa Leptospirosis.
Kapag mali ang pag-inom, pwedeng mawalan ito ng bisa laban sa mga mikrobyo at maging mas mahirap gamutin ang simpleng impeksyon. Pwede itong humantong sa matagal o mas matinding pagkakasakit.
Nakadepende ang pag-inom ng doxycycline sa exposure o risk level ng taong nalubog sa baha.
Payo ng DOH, magpatingin sa doktor para sa tamang reseta sa paggamit ng antibiotic na ito.

🌊⛈️Hangga’t maaari, iwasang lumusong sa baha
🧤 Kapag hindi maiiwasan, magsuot ng bota at takpan ang mga sugat gamit ang waterproof bandage
🏥 Magpakonsulta sa health center kapag lumusong sa baha para sa tamang rekomendasyon ng doktor
