Ang HIV ay maaaring maipasa mula ina patungo sa sanggol sa panahon ng pagbubuntis, panganganak, o pagpapasuso.

Pero sa pamamagitan ng maagang testing, tamang gamutan, at regular na konsultasyon, maaaring mabawasan ang panganib na maipasa ang HIV kay baby. 👩‍⚕️👶

Mahalagang malaman ang iyong HIV status para sa mas ligtas na pagbubuntis at mas malusog na kinabukasan para kay mommy at baby.

Magpatingin sa pinakamalapit na health center o HIV care facility para sa libreng HIV counseling, testing at treatment services. 💖

The Rural Health Unit of Matalam conducted an HIV Awareness Symposium and HIV Testing activity on May 15, 2026, at New Bugasong, Matalam, Cotabato.

The symposium aimed to raise HIV awareness among adolescents by providing accurate information, reducing stigma, and empowering individuals to prioritize their health and well-being. Through simple actions such as screening and testing, we give ourselves and our loved ones a better chance at a healthier future.

Thank you to everyone who participated and showed their support. Let us continue to break the stigma and spread awareness in our community.

The Local Government Unit of Matalam, through the Rural Health Unit, conducted various health programs for pregnant women on May 14, 2026, in Barangay Taguranao.

Among the activities conducted were HIV testing, Hepatitis B testing, and Syphilis testing aimed at safeguarding the health of pregnant women for safer pregnancies and childbirth. The program also sought to help protect unborn babies and prevent infections and possible complications during pregnancy.
