Yesterday, I found myself sitting in a room filled with business owners and buildersâpeople carrying vision, responsibility, and quiet questions of their own.
It was a gathering from our churchâs business leadersâ ministry, centered on creating God-centered cultures.
And somewhere in the middle of the talk, something simpleâbut deeply personalâstood out.
They said every organization carries four kinds of stories.
Not the polished kind you see onlineâŚ
but the real ones.
The founding storyâ
the moment something broke your heart enough to begin.
The valley storyâ
when things didnât go as planned, when you wondered if you should keep going at all.
The victory storyâ
when choosing whatâs right cost you something⌠and you chose it anyway.
And the people storyâ
the ones who stayed, who believed, who carried pieces of the journey with you.
And as I sat there, I realizedâŚthis isnât just true for organizations. Itâs true for all of us.
We all carry stories like theseâ
some we celebrate, some we quietly carry,
some weâre still trying to understand.
So maybe today, instead of rushing forward,
you take a moment to look back.
Revisit your story.
The beginning. The breaking. The becoming.
Because when you do, you might start to see the quiet ways God has been present all along.
Molding. Shaping. Preparing.
Not randomlyâŚ
but intentionally.
And hopefully,
youâll recognize that where you are right now
is not behind or off-trackâ
but part of the very story
thatâs leading you into your God-given purpose. đż
