Deceased Organ Donation Summit 2026
On May 23, 2026, the Transplantation Society of the Philippines, Inc. (TSP), in partnership with the National Kidney and Transplant InstituteโHuman Organ Preservation Effort (NKTI-HOPE), successfully convened the 2026 Deceased Organ Donation Summit at Novotel Manila, Quezon City.
Centered on the timely theme, โDOD Summit: A Multisectoral Discussion and Consensus,โ the landmark event served as a critical forum for pioneering medical experts, legal authorities, policymakers, and media advocates. The summit was strategically designed to dismantle the clinical, ethical, and systemic bottlenecks that historically limit deceased organ donation within the Philippine healthcare system.
The distinguished lineup of keynote speakers and panelists featured prominent national and international figures, including former Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Dr. Enrique Ona, TSP President Dr. Rose Marie Liquete, Asian Society of Transplantation Secretary General Prof. Curie Ahn, and Thai Red Cross Organ Donation Centre Deputy Director Prof. Supanit Nivatvongs.
