π©Ί Know Your Ultrasound: KUB Ultrasound
Did you know that ultrasound can also help evaluate your urinary system? π€
A KUB Ultrasound (Kidneys, Ureters, and Bladder) is a safe, non-invasive imaging test that uses sound waves to examine important parts of the urinary system.
It can help evaluate:
π Kidneys β size, structure, stones, cysts, or other abnormalities
π Ureters β possible signs of blockage or urinary obstruction
π Bladder β bladder size, appearance, and problems with emptying
π Urinary tract concerns β findings that may help explain urinary symptoms
A KUB ultrasound may be recommended for concerns such as kidney stones, urinary problems, recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs), or suspected urinary blockage.
At St. Camillus Medical Clinic, we are committed to providing safe, reliable, and compassionate diagnostic services to support your health and well-being. π
π§ Preparation Reminder
A full bladder may be required for the examination. Your doctor or our clinic staff may advise you to drink water before your scan and avoid urinating until the examination, depending on the requested study.
