🌿🍃The 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐧 through the 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞, in partnership with the 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 – 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐬 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 for Health Development, successfully conducted the 𝑳𝒂𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉𝒚 𝑷𝒖𝒃𝒍𝒊𝒄 𝑶𝒑𝒆𝒏 𝑺𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 𝑵𝒐 𝑻𝒐𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒐 𝑫𝒂𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑵𝒐 𝑺𝒎𝒐𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒉 🚭✨last May 26, 2026 at the Biliran Provincial Recreational Park, Larrazabal, Naval, Biliran. 🌳🏞️

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ The celebration kicked off with a fun run entitled :

"𝑹𝒖𝒏 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑪𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝑨𝒊𝒓: 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒎𝒐𝒌𝒆-𝑭𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝑷𝒖𝒃𝒍𝒊𝒄 𝑶𝒑𝒆𝒏 𝑺𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒂 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒆𝒓 𝑩𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒓𝒂𝒏"🌿💚—promoting active living, cleaner air, and vibrant communities.

𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤

In celebration of the 50th year of the Immunization Program in the Philippines, the Department of Health, in collaboration with the Provincial Government of Biliran and the Municipality of Naval through its Municipal Health Office, spearheaded the launching of World Immunization Week on April 24, 2026, at the Caray-caray Covered Court in Naval, Biliran.

This year’s theme, “𝑩𝒂𝒌𝒖𝒏𝒂 𝒂𝒕 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒌𝒔𝒚𝒐𝒏 𝒏𝒊 𝑩𝒂𝒃𝒚, 𝑴𝒚 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚” underscores the vital role of vaccines in protecting communities. It serves as a call to action and a reminder that ensuring every child is protected is a shared responsibility.

Resource speakers, Dr. Christine Dahlia Joboco and Dr. Catherine Bunales, Members of the Philippine Pediatric Society – Biliran Chapter, highlighted the importance of vaccination in preventing the spread of vaccine-preventable diseases such as polio, measles, pneumonia and pertussis, among others.

The event was actively participated by representatives from the DILG and PIA, along with Hon. Symonn Roa, Provincial SK Federation President. Also in attendance were the Barangay Council of Caray-caray, headed by Punong Barangay Jeffrey Merez, Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), DOH Human Resources for Health (HRH), as well as mothers and caregivers from the community.

The successful conduct of the activity is a testament of the continued commitment of health authorities and local stakeholders to promote immunization and safeguard the health of every Filipino child. Ang Batang Bakunado ay Protektado!

Wala pang naitatala na aktibong kaso ng Nipah Virus sa Pilipinas.

Mahalagang malaman ang tamang impormasyon tungkol sa sakit, kung paano ito kumakalat, ano ang mga sintomas, at paano ito maiiwasan upang maging handa at maprotektahan ang sarili at ang komunidad.
