So grateful to all the parents who continue to trust me with the care of their little ones. I may still be new in this community and in my clinic, but you have welcomed me so warmly from the very beginning.

Thank you for your trust, support, and kindness. My heart is full.

Here’s to more children cared for and more families served. Thank you, Lord, for all the blessings this August! 🙏✨

To all first-time parents, especially my fellow Millennials and Gen Z parents—I feel you. 🤍 Raising a child is not easy. There are exhausting days, moments of doubt, and times when we wonder if we’re doing things right. But at the same time, parenting can be one of the most fulfilling journeys we’ll ever experience.

I hope these simple everyday habits help you build a stronger connection with your child—one filled with love, security, and beautiful memories. Because raising healthy and happy kids doesn’t always require expensive things. Sometimes, what they need most is our time, presence, consistency, and love. 🥰

Hello, mommies! 🤍

Sa mga parents ng babies below 12 months, I hope you were able to read my previous post about introducing a straw cup starting around 9 months, once developmentally ready.

As babies grow, it is also important to gradually transition away from prolonged bottle-feeding. Continued bottle use beyond the recommended age may increase the risk of dental caries and may affect normal oral and jaw development, especially when the bottle is used frequently or during sleep.

For speech, the evidence is less direct, but healthy oral-motor development, chewing skills, and proper tongue and jaw movement are all important as children learn to eat and communicate.

Parents, let’s help our little ones develop healthy habits early: encourage cup or straw drinking, avoid putting babies to sleep with a milk bottle, and start good oral hygiene as soon as the first tooth appears. 🦷✨

Please help spread awareness for healthier teeth, proper oral development, and better feeding and speech skills in our children. 💕

From Bottle to Cup to Straw!

As your baby grows, it’s important to transition from bottle feeding to using an open cup and eventually a straw cup. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), introducing a cup around 6 months and weaning from the bottle by 12–18 months helps support healthy oral and motor development.

✨ An added bonus? Early transition away from prolonged bottle feeding may help reduce the risk of tooth decay (baby bottle tooth decay) and encourages healthier drinking habits.

Remember, every child learns at their own pace. Be patient, keep practicing, and celebrate every little milestone! ❤️🦷🥤

Nagbalik na ako sa clinic, and one of my first patients made me smile. 🥹🤍

Tita Doc: “Hello, Ma’am! Ano pong concern natin today?”

Mommy: “Magpa-well baby check-up sana kami, Doc.”

Me: WOW! 😊😊😊 Sana all! Hahaha!

Favorite ko talaga ang well-baby/well-child check-up—yung hindi dahil may sakit si baby, but simply because parents want to make sure that their child is growing and developing well. 🥰

During a well-child visit, we can talk about growth and development, feeding and nutrition, vaccines, milestones, sleep, behavior, and other concerns that parents may have.

Yes, parents! 🤗

Preventive care is also part of pediatric care. 💕
