AIR QUALITY ALERT — LEVEL 3
Quezon City | September 1, 2026

The Quezon City Medical Society (QCMS) reminds all QCitizens and our fellow healthcare professionals to take extra precautions as Quezon City remains under Air Quality Alert Level 3, with air quality ranging from Very Unhealthy to Acutely Unhealthy.

Please remember:
• Limit outdoor activities, especially strenuous exercise.
• Avoid unnecessary exposure to outdoor air.
• Wear a well-fitting face mask when going outside.
• Children, older adults, pregnant individuals, and those with respiratory or heart conditions should take extra precautions.

For our doctors: Please remain vigilant for patients with cough, wheezing, difficulty breathing, chest discomfort, or worsening of existing respiratory conditions.

The current haze may be partly associated with smoke from forest fires in Kalimantan, Indonesia.

Stay safe, stay informed, and monitor official advisories.

TAG-ULAN NA, QCitizens!

Maging handa. Maging ligtas. Alagaan ang sarili at ang pamilya ngayong tag-ulan.

The Quezon City Medical Society reminds all residents to remain vigilant as COVID-19 cases have shown an increase in recent weeks.

This is a timely reminder for everyone to continue practicing simple and effective preventive measures:

• Stay home and rest if you are feeling unwell.• Wear a mask in crowded, enclosed, or poorly ventilated spaces, especially if you have respiratory symptoms or belong to a high-risk group.• Wash your hands frequently and observe proper cough and sneeze etiquette.• Keep homes, workplaces, and gathering areas well ventilated.• Seek medical consultation early if symptoms persist or worsen.

Let us remain vigilant without panic, guided by science, compassion, and shared responsibility. By taking simple precautions, we can continue to protect our families, our communities, and our city.

Together, let us keep Quezon City healthy, safe, and resilient.
