Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD)

🎈 Caused by virus
🎈 Most common in infants and children 5 years of age, but can occur in older children and adults
🎈 Enterovirus as the most common causative agent
🎈 Transmission: respiratory droplets, direct contact with fluid, saliva, stool of infected patients
🎈 Fever, sore throat, blisters, malaise, pain in hands and feet
