A strong earthquake was felt today across various parts of Mindanao, including the Municipality of Parang, Maguindanao del Norte.

RHU Parang urges all residents to remain calm, vigilant, and prepared. While there is no need to panic, aftershocks may occur following significant earthquakes. Everyone is encouraged to stay informed through official advisories from PHIVOLCS, MDRRMO Parang, and local authorities.

✅ Inspect your homes, schools, workplaces, and other structures for any signs of damage.
✅ Stay away from weakened buildings, walls, posts, and other potential hazards.
✅ Prepare your emergency go-bag and keep important documents readily accessible.
✅ Be alert for possible aftershocks and know the nearest safe evacuation area.
✅ Check on children, senior citizens, pregnant women, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable family members.

🌊 Residents of coastal and island barangays, including those in Bongo Island, are advised to closely monitor official tsunami advisories and immediately follow evacuation instructions if issued by authorities.

RHU Parang continues to monitor the situation and remains ready to provide health services and assistance as needed.
