Instituto de Marillac

Instituto de Marillac SJDEFI-Hospital’s LaMPs hub. Vincentian Charism Formation for all partners. Home to Ugnayan, VinSearch (CPD/DOST) & CSR for Farmacia Sta.

Luisa/SSVP-Sta Luisa de Marillac Conference/Community Training alone is not enough to help our SJDEFI - Hospital employees to be compassionate in serving the poor. We need to be transformed like St. Louise de Marillac was transformed through their relationship with people who live on the margins of society. In line with our aspiration to transform our employees, the Training and Development Sectio

n of the Hospital will be metamorphosing into Instituto de Marillac (IdM) as part of the celebratory activities of the 150 years D.C. presence in our beloved foundation. Instituto de Marillac or IdM, the Spanish for de Marillac Institute is an homage to the Royal Order of Queen Isabela of Spain to the Hijas de la Caridad to serve the poor and the sick. Instituto de Marillac Logo
Spanish Name in French Script – The Spanish term in French Script pays homage to the roots of the SJDEFI administrators – Spanish descent sisters from the Company of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul which originated in France. Blue Color – the color is often associated with Blessed Virgin Mary, a “model and teacher of the spiritual life”. Vincentian Cross – the entwined “V” and “S” within the cross stands for the Vincentian Service and the cross as a symbol of Father’s love, as revealed in the death of His son. Both our founders, Saints Vincent de Paul and Louise de Marillac often remind their followers of how deep God’s love for us. As Vincentians, we are evangelized by the cross, and we evangelize by the cross. Heptagon – the 7 sided polygon symbolizes the 7 core values of SJDEFI – Hospital: Respect for Human Dignity & God’s Creation, Compassionate Service, Co-Responsibility, Solidarity, Simplicity, Social Commitment, and Commitment to Quality. Human Trident – represents the 3 trusts of IdM, Vincentian Formation (Ayanz Circle), Evidence Based Practice: Research and Technical Trainings (Trinañez Circle), and Employee Engagement (Marpuri Circle). A huge thank you to our Patient Relations Officer! 💙

Reading these heartwarming testimonials from our patients and their families truly highlights the impact of compassionate care. A major part of the healthcare experience relies on how we connect with people, and our Patient Relations Officer has been consistently recognized for their exceptional Staff Demeanor (54.1%).

Comments like "most polite and kindest person in the hospital" and "lovely, soft-spoken, and approachable" are beautiful reminders that patience, clear explanations, and a gentle touch bring genuine comfort to those we serve.

To our patients and clients: Thank you for sharing your wonderful feedback. Your appreciation inspires the entire San Juan de Dios community to keep delivering high-quality, dedicated, and compassionate service every single day! ✨

(Living Liturgy, p. 160)

SJDEFI is officially in its inclusive era, fr fr! ✨ Per Memorandum QAD-DCC 35 Series 2026, we are integrating gender-fair language across all institutional docs!

Just like how we respect that the langaw is Vanessa, the orange is Sharmaine, and the avocado is Melanie, recognizing someone's lived name is basic human respect. 💅🪰🍊🥑 Ano man ang pangalan mo, your identity is valid, affirmed, and safe!

This move directly supports the Department of Health (DOH) Memorandum No. 2026-0257 on Gender and Development (GAD) and our Vincentian core values. We are officially dropping gender-biased terms (it's "chairperson" and "workforce" now, besties!) and ending the use of default "he/him" pronouns for unknown individuals.

PSA to all department heads:
Gamitin niyo na ang current system sync downtime to prep your document revisions! You can submit the formal requests once normal documentation activities resume on August 3, 2026. Let's create safer, more inclusive spaces for everyone, periodt. 🤍

The road to the championship is officially underway! 😤🏀🏆

The opening round of the 448th SJDEFI Basketball Tournament did NOT disappoint! From the very first whistle, the court was packed with pure intensity, non-stop hustle, and big-time buckets. Every team came out hungry, but only a few managed to survive and advance.

Massive congratulations to our first-round victors who put on an absolute clinic to secure their spots in the next round:
🟢 Team Green dominant finish with a 79-56 victory!
🟡 Team Yellow exploding on offense for a massive 104-74 win!
⚪ Team White cruising through with a commanding 95-59 performance!

Huge shoutout to all the players who left everything on the hardwood, the coaches for drawing up the perfect plays, and of course, the roaring supporters who brought the absolute best energy to the bleachers! 📣🔥

The brackets are moving, the stakes are getting higher, and the momentum is real. But as the legend says: Job’s not finished. 🤫

🕊️ Artisans of Peace and Hope: United in Prayer for our Administrators
As one San Juan de Dios Hospital family, we lift our hearts in prayer for our beloved administrators, the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul (Province of St. Louise de Marillac-Asia), as they embark on a deeply sacred journey.

Starting today, June 1, 2026, the Sisters are entering a period of retreat, which will be followed by their 2026 Provincial Assembly running until June 25, 2026. This gathering is a vital time of reflection, evaluation, and communion as they discern the future direction of their mission and prepare for the 11th General Assembly 2027.

Inspired by their assembly theme, "Artisans of Peace and Hope," we pray that the Holy Spirit guides them like the dove, that Christ strengthens them through the Cross, and that their shared mission is beautifully woven together in collaboration and unity.

🙏 Let Us Pray:
Lord, grant our dear Sisters wisdom, deep peace, and divine guidance during this sacred time of discernment. Sustain them as they continue to lead our hospital community with Christ-like compassion and service.

Join us in supporting our administrators! Leave a "🙏" or a message of gratitude and prayers in the comments below. 👇
