A meaningful day for Centro Holistico. 🤍

We’re truly honored to be selected in this year’s Modern Parenting Parents’ Choice Awards as the Women’s Health & Wellness Center of choice.

For us, this recognition means so much because it reflects the trust of the very community we’re here to serve. Our mission has always been to support women and parents through every stage of their journey — from preparing for parenthood to navigating the many changes that come with it, and everything in between.

Beyond the award, one of our favorite parts of today was simply being together with our community — catching up with friends, seeing familiar faces, and getting to chat with our patients outside the clinic.

Thank you to Modern Parenting and, most especially, to all the parents who continue to trust Centro Holistico with their health and wellness. This one is for you.

Here’s to supporting healthier, happier families — one journey at a time.

Health coaching is not about being told what to do.

It’s about understanding:
• why habits feel difficult
• what patterns are repeating
• how to create change that actually fits your life

You remain in control.

We provide:
• structure
• accountability
• perspective

So you can move forward with clarity.

If you’re ready for guidance that works with your life - not against it - message us to begin.

Getting older doesn’t have to mean getting weaker.

As men age, building and maintaining muscle can become more challenging. Testosterone naturally declines over time, and because it plays an important role in muscle growth and recovery, gaining muscle in your 40s and beyond can require more effort.

That’s why Dr. Pye Mariano emphasizes the importance of building your muscular foundation early. Your 20s and 30s are a great time to focus on strength, nutrition, and healthy habits that can support you as you age.

And if you’re already in your 40s or beyond? It’s not too late. The goal is to stay strong, stay active, and support your body proactively.

Ready to take a proactive approach to your health? Book a consultation with Centro Holistico.

Detox is often misunderstood as restriction or intensity.

In reality, detoxification is already happening every moment—through your liver, gut, lymphatic system, and skin.

The goal is not to force it.
The goal is to support it.

At Centro Holistico, detox is approached as a functional reset process, not a trend:
• colon cleanse therapies to support elimination pathways
• detox dome to enhance circulation and lymph flow
• IV therapy to restore nutrients and hydration

Within this framework, systems like Detoxify Bar may serve as supportive tools during preparation or recovery phases.

Because the body does not need punishment to reset—it needs support to function.

Wellness Tip of the Day | Dr. Fran

Your body has its own natural rhythm—and learning to work with it can make a difference.

Dr. Fran reminds us to follow our circadian clock and give the body time to rest, repair, and regenerate. Ideally, 10 PM to 6 AM should be your window for quality sleep, when your body can focus on recovery and restoration.

Wellness isn’t always about doing more. Sometimes, it’s about knowing when to slow down. 🤍

Make rest part of your wellness routine.

Even those who help others live healthier lives deserve to prioritize their own health too. 🤍

As a certified hormone coach, Coach Veronica (Veronica Lu | Certified Women's Hormone Health Coach) understands the importance of listening to the body, recognizing its signals, and taking a personalized approach to health. It’s also the same approach she brings to her own clients—understanding that every person is different, and that there is no one-size-fits-all path to feeling well.

That’s what made her experience with us at Centro especially meaningful. She found an approach to healthcare that felt familiar to her own philosophy: taking the time to understand the individual, look at the bigger picture, and create a health plan tailored to their unique needs and goals.

We’re grateful to Coach Veronica for sharing her experience and for trusting Centro to be part of her own health journey.

Because your health is personal. And the care you receive should be too 😊

Getting caught in the rain doesn’t automatically make you sick, but when your body is already stressed, sleep-deprived, or run down, that extra strain can become the tipping point.

Recovery starts with the basics:
✔️ Warm yourself up
✔️ Rehydrate
✔️ Eat something nourishing
✔️ Rest

And if you’re still feeling depleted, stubborn muscle tension, fatigue, or you’re finding it harder to bounce back than usual, your body may need a little more support.

At Centro Holistico, therapies like acupuncture, IV nutrient therapy, ventosa, and osteopathy help support circulation, recovery, and resilience so you can get back to feeling like yourself.

For the safety of our patients, team, and community, all Centro Holistico clinics will be closed today following the NDRRMC’s Red Heavy Rainfall Warning for Metro Manila.

Please stay safe, stay dry, and avoid unnecessary travel if you can. Your health can wait a day - your safety cannot.

We’ll be in touch with affected patients regarding rescheduling. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to welcoming you back once it’s safe to do so. 🌿

What if your sleep problem isn’t really a sleep problem? Your hormones may be part of the picture.

As Dr. Carolyn Carolyn Tan-Chi Pedro explains, cortisol and melatonin work together as part of your body’s natural sleep-wake rhythm. Cortisol supports alertness during the day, while melatonin rises in the evening to help prepare the body for sleep.

When stress, lifestyle, or hormonal changes disrupt these rhythms, you may experience difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking feeling rested.

And cortisol isn’t the only hormone worth considering. Progesterone also has calming effects on the nervous system, and lower levels may contribute to sleep difficulties in some patients, depending on their individual hormonal profile.

This is why sleep should be looked at in the context of your holistic health picture.

At Centro Holistico, our doctors consider your sleep patterns, stress, nutrition and diet, movement, lifestyle, and overall health. When appropriate, hormonal patterns may also be assessed to better understand what could be contributing to your symptoms.

The goal is to understand why your body may be having difficulty sleeping and determine what support is appropriate for you—not simply address the symptom.
