Frequently Asked Questions:
What kind of jewelry will be used?
We understand that it’s natural to have questions about the best way to care for your fresh piercing. One common concern is why we don’t use coated or dangle jewelry for new piercings. Here’s why:
Coated jewelry: Coatings can flake off or chip, which can irritate the piercing and cause allergic reactions. This can lead to infection, discomfort, and scarring. Our priority is to keep your piercing healthy and free from irritation.
Dangle jewelry: Dangle jewelry can be prone to snagging on clothing, bedding, or other objects, which can cause the jewelry to pull out of the piercing or stretch it out unevenly. This can lead to uneven healing, migration, or rejection.
Why do we use basic surgical straight bars instead?
It reduces the risk of irritation and allergic reactions.
It is less likely to cause infection/irritation.
They are easy to clean and maintain.
