🫁 Strengthening Community TB Response Through a Capacity Building Workshop for Red Cross Volunteers

On July 29–30, 2026, the Philippine Red Cross Pasig-Pateros Chapter, in partnership with the Pasig City Tuberculosis Control Program, successfully conducted a two-day capacity building workshop aimed at empowering Red Cross volunteers to become advocates in the fight against tuberculosis.

Ending TB is everyone's responsibility. Healthcare workers cannot do it alone. It takes the commitment, participation, and collaboration of communities, organizations, and volunteers to make a lasting impact.

💚 Every volunteer can make a difference. Together, through advocacy and community engagement, we move one step closer to a TB-Free Pasig!

Working together for a TB-Free Pasig! 💚

On July 28, 2026, a successful Active Case Finding (ACF) activity was conducted at the Barangay San Miguel Covered Court, Pasig City.

Our sincere appreciation to the San Miguel Health Center staff, PHAs, barangay officials and staff, and our valued partner, Culion Foundation, Inc., for your dedication and teamwork in making this activity a success.

Activity Highlights:
✅ 208 Chest X-rays screened
✅ 54 Presumptive TB cases identified
✅ 47 Xpert tests conducted

Rain or shine, our commitment to ending TB continues! 🌧️💚

On July 24, 2026, the Active Case Finding (ACF) activity at Pasig BLISS, Barangay Caniogan was successfully conducted through the collective efforts of the Caniogan Health Center staff, PHAs, barangay officials and staff, and our valued partner, Culion Foundation, Inc.

Activity Highlights:
✅ 151 Chest X-rays screened
✅ 24 Presumptive TB cases identified
✅ 24 Xpert tests conducted

👏 Successful Active Case Finding (ACF) Activity today in Barangay Sta. Lucia, Pasig City, conducted by dedicated team of Sta. Lucia Health Center—especially Nurse Melody, HC Staff, PHAs, and Barangay Sta. Lucia staff. This is made possible through the support of CFI.

In addition to TB screening, the team also conducted TB Awareness and Prevention education to help increase community knowledge on TB, promote early consultation, and encourage timely treatment.

✅ Individuals Screened: 182
✅ Presumptive TB Identified: 25
✅ Xpert Tests Collected: 25

Isang matagumpay na TB Active Case Finding (ACF) ang isinagawa ng Bagong Ilog Health Center II, katuwang ang Cullion Foundation, Inc.

✅ 157 individuals ang nabigyan ng free chest X-ray.
✅ 18 ang na-identify na presumptive TB.
✅ 18 ang nakapagbigay ng on-the-spot sputum specimen para sa agarang pagsusuri.

Maraming salamat sa ating masisipag at dedikadong Bagong Ilog Health Center II Staff, Pasig Health Associates (PHAs), at Barangay Health Staff na walang sawang naglingkod at tumulong upang maging matagumpay ang activity na ito.

Dahil sa ating pagtutulungan, mas marami tayong naaabot, mas maagang natutukoy ang may TB, at mas nabibigyan sila ng tamang gamutan.
