The Municipal Health Office of Pinamalayan successfully conducted a Training on Disease Surveillance and Outbreaks attended by MHO staff and health personnel as part of its continuing commitment to strengthening public health systems and enhancing community resilience. The activity was facilitated by Ms. Rocelle Baxa, Provincial Disease Surveillance Coordinator, together with Ms. Pamela May Quiatain from the Provincial Department of Health Office and coordinated by Nurse Michael Naadat, Municipal Epidemiology and Surveillance Coordinator.
Graced by SB Committee on Health Chairperson Hon. Participants were provided with updates on surveillance protocols and discussed the critical role of health workers in ensuring the prompt identification and reporting of diseases to prevent potential outbreaks and protect communities.
Through meaningful discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions, MHO staff gained valuable insights that will further strengthen the municipalityโs capacity to monitor disease trends, respond effectively to public health emergencies, and implement evidence-based interventions.
