Kung hindi maiiwasan, magsuot ng protective gear gaya ng kapote at bota upang makatulong na maprotektahan ang sarili laban sa Leptospirosis at iba pang waterborne diseases.

Kung kailangan ng pagpapagamot dahil sa Leptospirosis, may enhanced benefit package ang PhilHealth na maaaring makatulong sa gastusing medikal.
