The Nursing In-Service Training and Education Unit, in collaboration with the Critical and Special Care Department and the General Nursing Department of the Nursing Services of the National Kidney and Transplant Institute, cordially invites you to a FREE Lay Forum/Nursing Patient Case Conference on March 13, 2026, via Zoom.
Title:
“Rabies in the Ward: Recognize, Assess, Barrier, Isolate, Educate — Safely Manage, in Observance of Rabies Awareness Month.”
This timely and relevant conference aims to strengthen the knowledge, clinical judgment, and preparedness of nurses and healthcare professionals in recognizing and managing suspected or confirmed rabies cases within the hospital setting. As frontline providers, we play a critical role in early identification, implementation of appropriate isolation and barrier precautions, patient and family education, and prevention of transmission. In line with Rabies Awareness Month, this activity seeks to promote patient safety, protect healthcare workers, and reinforce evidence-based practices in handling one of the most fatal yet preventable infectious diseases.
Join us as we reinforce our shared responsibility in safeguarding our patients, our colleagues, and our community through vigilance, competence, and coordinated care.
We look forward to your participation.
