How to Get Your Student Permit & Driver’s License in the Philippines (LTO Guide)

Step 1: Get a Student Permit
• At least 16 years old
• Enroll in a driving school or complete the Theoretical Driving Course (TDC)
• Secure a medical certificate from an LTO-accredited clinic
• Bring valid IDs and pay the fees at LTO

Step 2: Apply for a Non-Professional Driver’s License
• Hold your student permit for at least 30 days
• Complete the Practical Driving Course (PDC)
• Pass the written and practical driving exams
• Submit requirements and pay the fees
