Myotherapy is another type of manual therapy which specifically focuses on the treatment and management of musculoskeletal pain. Founded on Western medical principles, the philosophy of Myotherapy includes extensive physical ( anatomical, physiological and biomechanical aspects) evaluation, coupled with an integrated approach to the treatment of involved muscles, joints, and nerves. Myoth

erapy includes modalities like deep-tissue massage,triggerpoints manipulation, joint mobilization, stretching, TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) and some rehabilitative exercises. Myofascia/ Muscle fascia are the thin, fibrous sheets of tissue surrounding and separating our muscles. Our ligaments and tendons are composed of clusters of myofascia. Thus, pain in the muscle tissue is called Myofascial pain. Common symptoms of Myofascial pain includes:

1. Muscle tightness
3. Reduced / impaired joint mobility
4. Pins-and-needles sensation
5. Unexplained tiredness
6. Loss of feeling / numbness
