Founded in 1988, the Mabuhay Deseret Foundation ( a Charity Vision Int'l affiliate) has provided thousands of free and subsidized operations every year to correct medical conditions such as cataracts, crossed eyes, cleft lip and palate, clubfeet, and limb loss in need of prosthesis, for individuals without means. The word 'deseret' comes from the ancient word for honeybee and represents the philos

ophy of the foundation. At Mabuhay Deseret, Filipino doctors volunteer their time, local hospitals provide substantial discounts on the use of their facilities and patients and their family members contribute by cooking and cleaning during their stay in our Recuperative Houses. By working together with members of the community, the Foundation is able to perform dramatic, life-changing surgery for thousands of Filipinos every year.

Every step tells a story. πŸ‘£

On World Clubfoot Day, we celebrate the strength of every child who has walked through challenges β€” and the families who carried them every step of the way.

A single act of kindness can change the direction of a child's journey. If this touches your heart, you know where to find us. πŸ’›

πŸŒ… Day 3 of 3 β€” Gasan, Marinduque
And just like that, our final day brought everything full circle.

In Gasan, we closed out our 3-day mission the same way we started it β€” with full hearts, willing hands, and a deep commitment to the communities we serve. It was a full day in every sense of the word.

Because here's something many people may not know about Mabuhay Deseret: while eye screening is at the core of what we do, we never stop at that. Every outreach is also an opportunity to identify and reach out to patients living with clubfoot, cleft lip or palate, limb differences including below-the-knee amputees β€” conditions that deserve just as much attention, care, and follow-through.

We don't just screen eyes. We look at the whole person. We see the child who walks differently. We notice the one who hides their smile. We find the ones who have waited the longest β€” and we make sure they know they are not forgotten.

To the people of Gasan, to every patient across all three towns, to our tireless volunteers, and to the sponsors and donors who made this entire mission possible β€” salamat po from the bottom of our hearts. πŸ’›

πŸŒ… Day 2 of 3 β€” Sta. Cruz, Marinduque

Under the heat of the Marinduque sun, nearly 200 patients came to Sta. Cruz β€” and not one of them gave up. They waited patiently, side by side, in the warmth and humidity, holding on to something stronger than discomfort: hope.

We saw two young girls carefully choosing their new frames β€” a small but meaningful moment that marks the beginning of a clearer, brighter world ahead. πŸ‘“ We walked alongside a clubfoot patient whose journey toward healing took one more important step forward. And through it all, our incredible volunteer optometrist and the rest of the team poured their hearts into every single consultation.

That is the spirit of this mission. That is the spirit of Mabuhay Deseret. πŸ’›

To everyone who showed up β€” in scrubs, in barong, or in patient waiting β€” salamat po. πŸ™

πŸŒ… Day 1 of 3 β€” Mogpog, Marinduque

Every great mission begins with a single step β€” and ours began in the heart of Mogpog.

On the first day of our 3-day medical mission in Marinduque, we were welcomed with open arms by a community that reminded us exactly why we do what we do. Patients came with hope in their eyes, volunteers showed up with love in their hands, and generous sponsors and donors made it all possible β€” including the kind souls who opened their doors and shared their space with us.

To every patient who trusted us with their health, every volunteer who gave their time, and every partner who believed in this mission β€” salamat po.

You are the heart of Mabuhay Deseret. πŸ’›

In communities where access to eye care is limited, every consultation matters.

Through this mission in Marinduque, patients received free screenings, refraction services, and hope for a clearer future.

Your β‚±100 can be someone's new beginning πŸ’›πŸ
πŸ“² Scan the GCash QR in the photo and donate β‚±100 today.

A small act of kindness can go a long way β€” helping provide life-changing surgeries, restore eyesight, support recovery, and bring hope to children and families across the Philippines.

If 10,000 people give just β‚±100, we raise β‚±1,000,000 together. Your donation may seem small, but to someone waiting for help, it can mean a new smile, a second chance to walk, or the gift of clear sight.

🐝 HOW YOU CAN HELP:
1. Donate β‚±100 (or more πŸ’›)
2. Share this post on your timeline
3. Tag 3 friends who believe in helping others
4. Comment "DONE 🐝" so we can thank you personally

Together, we can multiply kindness β€” one share, one tag, one life at a time.

✨ Hope Looks Beautiful on Every Smile ✨

Seeing these smiles after their recent eye surgeries in Davao is a touching reminder of why we continue this mission. Moments like these inspire us to keep reaching more individuals and families in need of clearer sight, compassionate care, and renewed hope. πŸ’›

Mabuhay Deseret Foundation continues to welcome patients, families, volunteers, and supporters to visit our Davao Recuperative House and learn more about the work being done to help change lives through medical missions and service. Every visit, prayer, and act of support helps bring light and hope to many more people. πŸ‘οΈβœ¨

If you or anyone you know is a below-the-knee amputee who may need assistance, please send a message to learn more.

Together, we can help restore mobility, confidence, and new beginnings. ✨

Did you know? Babies born with cleft palate may struggle to feed properly because milk can pass into the nose instead of the throat.

Without proper guidance, this can lead to:
β€’ Poor weight gain
β€’ Malnutrition
β€’ Weak immunity

πŸ’› The good news: Medical support and surgery can correct this.
