Skin disorders during summertime:
1.Miliaria( prickly heat/bungang araw)...these are blocked swet glands causing tiny red or clear bumps,found on the neck, arms and skin folds, common in heat and humid weathers among children and adults
2. Acne breakouts: due to increased sweat and sebum ,friction from clothes sports wears and gears can clog pores and worsen acne on face,back and chest.
3. Sun related problems
such as photo aggravated melasma and sunburns can cause erythema on exposed areas of the face, shoulder and back.
Polymorphic light eruptions among sun sensitive individuals develops itchy rashes on sun exposed skin after an intense abrupt exposure.
4. Fungal and bacterial infections,such as tinea versicolor,or intertrigo,or candidiasis, when skin is moist and humid,it favors growth of fungal infections.
Folliculitis when hair follicles are blocked leading to red and painful rash.
5. Contact and irritant dermatitis
6. Hives and allergies...

Simple prevention tips:
1. Keep skin cool and dry, wearing loose light clothing, cotton fabrics.
2. Hydration with fluids and staying at cool places, use of sunshades .
3. Use broad spectrum non comedogenic sunscreen ,avoid peak sun( from 9am to 4pm) and reapply after sweating and swimming.
4. Bathe with mild cleanser,then moisturize and protect skin barriers
5. Seek consult if the need arises..
