Paano nga ba nakakahawa ang rabies?
Ang rabies ay naipapasa sa pamamagitan ng kagat, kalmot, o pagdikit ng laway ng infected na hayop sa sugat o mata. Hindi kailangang malalim ang sugat para magkaroon ng panganib—kahit maliit na kalmot o kagat ay maaaring pagmulan ng impeksyon.
⚠️ Tandaan:
✅ Hindi nakukuha ang rabies sa simpleng paghipo sa balahibo o sa ihi at dumi ng hayop.
✅ Kapag nakagat o nakalmot, hugasan agad ang sugat ng sabon at umaagos na tubig sa loob ng 15 minuto at magpatingin agad sa pinakamalapit na Animal Bite Center.

Maaaring maliit lang ang sugat mula sa kagat o kalmot ng a*o o pusa, pero maaari itong magdulot ng rabies, isang sakit na halos laging nakamamatay kapag hindi naagapan.
✅ Hugasan agad ang sugat gamit ang sabon at dumadaloy na tubig sa loob ng 15 minuto.
✅ Huwag maghintay ng sintomas.
✅ Magpatingin agad sa Animal Bite Center para sa tamang assessment at kung kinakailangan, mabigyan ng anti-rabies vaccine at iba pang kaukulang paggamot.
