The Roxas City Health Office marked the 52nd Nutrition Month with the core message: protecting our environment is key to securing safe, nutritious food for all. This calls for shared effort from government agencies, health sectors, and communities to safeguard our resources for present and future generations.
The program opened with welcome remarks from City Health Officer Dr. Lory V. Cahilog. Hon. Pip Acepcion, Committee Chair on Health, delivered an inspirational message on behalf of City Mayor Ronnie Dadivas. Dr. Myrene Therese Valdemar discussed how climate change affects our food sources, while our Department of Agriculture representative, Maโam Mary Ann Baria, shared insights on resilient agriculture, backyard gardening, and food security for families.
Led by Nutrition Coordinator Ms. Ruby Abalo, together with our BNS, midwives, and nurses, the event included a Nutri-Quiz with prizes and giveaways such as IEC materials, school supplies, and fresh produce.
A heartfelt thank you to Taisho Pharmaceuticals Philippines, Inc. for your generous support in making our Nutrition Month Celebration a meaningful and successful event.
