On June 28, 2026, the Sagay National High School โ€“ Senior Red Cross Youth Council proudly took part in the Red Cross Youth Negros Occidental General Assembly and Dissemination on Pledge 25 and HIV/AIDS, held at the Social Hall, Provincial Capitol Building, Negros Occidental.

The gathering was well attended by Red Cross Youth volunteers from various schools in the province to promote camaraderie, encourage collaboration and strengthen their commitment to serve humanity. Through engaging discussions and meaningful activities, participants gained valuable knowledge that will help them become more effective advocates for health, volunteerism, and community service. โค๏ธ๐Ÿค

One of the highlights of the event was the Human Bingo Activity, where our SNHS-SRCY President, Jelmarie Gasper, emerged as one of the winners, showcasing enthusiasm, active participation, and teamwork throughout the program. ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ‘

Adding pride to our delegation, SNHS-SRCY President Jelmarie Gasper and SNHS-SRCY Public Information Officer Joharah Ledesma proudly represented Sagay National High School as they introduced and presented the schoolโ€™s Senior Red Cross Youth Council. Their presentation reflected the councilโ€™s dedication to humanitarian values, volunteerism, and service to the community. ๐ŸŽคโค๏ธ

The assembly also featured informative learning sessions that inspired every participant.

Talk #1: Pledge 25 Dissemination emphasized the importance of voluntary non-remunerated blood donation and encouraged the youth to become advocates in saving lives through blood donation. ๐Ÿฉธโค๏ธ

This was followed by Talk #2: HIV and AIDS Dissemination, which provided accurate information about HIV and AIDS, addressed common misconceptions, and encouraged everyone to promote awareness, understanding, and compassion while helping eliminate stigma and discrimination. ๐ŸŽ—๏ธ๐Ÿง

Our involvement in this significant event was further made memorable through the steadfast guidance and support of our RCY Adviser Maโ€™am Devine Fuentisfina whose encouragement keeps inspiring us to serve with dedication and compassion.

As a Red Cross Youth family, we continue to embody the values of humanity, volunteerism and leadership. Together, we will continue to serve, inspire, and make a positive difference in our school and community.

On June 27, 2026, the Sagay National High-School Senior Red Cross Youth Council took part in the Emergency First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) Training at the Sagay National High School Research Hub and Covered Court. This training gave each RCY volunteer a great chance to learn and develop important life-saving skills. It deepened our knowledge, widened our perspectives, and sparked a stronger desire to help others. Through hands-on activities and practical demonstrations, we gained the confidence and skills needed to respond well in emergencies.

We sincerely thank our School Administrator for allowing us to hold this valuable activity and for providing the facilities that made the training possible. We want to express our deep appreciation to our dedicated RCY Adviser, Maโ€™am Divina Fuentesfina, for her constant support, guidance, and hard work in organizing this event. We also thank Sir Rizaldy Alunan and Sir Renier Diafante for sharing their time, expertise, and knowledge with us once again. Your passion for teaching and commitment to empowering young volunteers inspire us to be more prepared, caring, and dedicated in serving our community.
