Before and After (Class lV Restoration on Tooth #21) ✨🦷🥰
Common Causes
Because Class IV cavities or fractures affect the biting edges of your most visible teeth, they are usually caused by:
1. Trauma: Chipping or breaking a front tooth due to a fall, sports injury, or accident.
2. Progression of Decay: An untreated Class III cavity on the side of the tooth that eventually weakens and breaks the biting corner.
3. Biting Forces: Chronic wear, tear, or accidentally biting down on something hard (like ice or a hard candy).
