Launching of HPV VACCINATION (2nd dose) Against Cervical Cancer

MHO-San Antonio, Zambales, March 26, 2026:
The launching was led by Municipal Health Officer Dr. Jerald John Quintero with the DOH-Human Resource for Health Nurses and Midwives, today.

The HPV vaccine protects against infections caused by the human papillomavirus, a common virus transmitted through intimate contact. It significantly reduces the risk of cervical cancer and also offers protection against other HPV-related cancers, including a**l, oropharyngeal, pe**le, vulvar and vaginal cancers, as well as ge***al warts. The program aims to cover women ages 9-14 in the community and grade 4 students in public elementary schools.

For additional information, inquiries and updates about HPV 2nd dose schedule of your children, you may inquire directly at your respective Brgy. Health Station.

ANO ANG DENGUE?
- Ang DENGUE ay isang impeksyon na dala ng kagat ng babaeng lamok na Aedes Aegypti. Maaaring magka-dengue ang isang tao hanggang sa apat na beses dahil sa iba’t iba nitong serotypes (DENV1, DENV2, DENV3 at DENV4).

- Ang aedes aegypti ay kadalasan nangangagat sa pagitan ng 6:00-8:00 ng umaga at 4:00-8:00 ng gabi, nangingitlog sa malinaw na tubig, tulad ng makikita sa flower vases, at naiipong tubig-ulan sa gulong o basyong lata. Ang mga lamok ay karaniwang naglalagi sa madidilim na lugar ng bahay.

SINTOMAS NG DENGUE
-Biglaang pagkakaroon ng mataas
na lagnat na tumatagal ng
dalawa hanggang pitong araw.

-Masakit na kalamanan,
kasukasuan at ng likod
ng mata.

-Panghihina
-Namumulang mga butlig
o maliliit na patse sa balat.

-Pagdurugo ng ilong
kapag nagsimulang bumaba
ang lagnat

-Sakit ng tiyan
-Sukang kulay kape
-Maitim na dumi

PAANO MAIIWASAN ANG DENGUE?
MAG 5 S KONTRA DENGUE

S - Search and Destroy
- Ang Dengue Mosquito ay namamahay sa nakaimbak na malinis na tubig kaya:
-siguraduhing palitan ang tubig ng flower base at linisin ito minsan sa isang linggo.
-Takpan ang mga timba o iba pang imbakan ng tubig
-Itaob ang mga bote, lata at iba pang maaaring pag-ipunan ng tubig at pangitlugan ng lamok.
-Linisan ang mga alulod ng bahay para masigurong walang naiimbak na tubig na maaaring bahayan at pangitlugan ng lamok.
-Siguraduhing malinis ang ating kapaligiran. Mag 4 o'clock habit ng paglilinis araw-araw.

S - Seek Early Consultation
-Kung may lagnat na ng dalawang (2) araw, agad komunsulta sa doctor sa pinakamalapit na Health Center o Ospital.

S - Secure Self Protection
-Iwasan ang maikling kasuotan upang hindi madaling makagat ng lamok. Magsuot ng long sleeves o pants na natatakpan ang balat upang hindi madaling makagat ng lamok.
-Magpahid ng MOSQUITO REPELLANT at SABON na may moisturizer kontra panunuyo ng balat.
-Gumamit ng kulambo sa pagtulog umaga man o gabi.

S - Sustain Vector Control Measures such as Spraying, Misting and Larviciding
-Ang spraying, misting at larviciding ay isinasagawa upang makaiwas sa pagdami ng bilang ng nakapipinsalang lamok na may dalang dengue virus. Ito ay isinasagawa ng cycle at hindi minsan lamang.

S - Sustain Hydration
-Panatilihin ang pag inom ng Oral Rehydrating Solution, o paglalagay ng swero kung kinakailangan.

‼️If you have Exposure to Flood Waters this post is for you.

⚜ Guide for Leptospirosis Post Exposure Prophylaxis 👩🏻‍⚕️

1. Low Risk exposure - single history of wading in flood or contaminated water WITHOUT any break in the skin like wound, cuts or open lesions.

👉 Doxycycline 100mg/cap, 2 caps (200mg) as single dose, take within 24 -72 hours from exposure

2. Moderate Risk exposure
- single history of wading in flood or contaminated water WITH presence of wound, cuts or open lesions of the skin.

👉 Doxycycline 100mg/cap, 2 caps (200mg) once daily for 3-5 days to start immediately within 24 -72 hours from exposure

3. High Risk exposure - repeated or continuous exposure to flood or contaminated water ( residents in flooded areas, rescuers wading in flood water ) WITH OR WITHOUT any break in the skin.

👉 Doxycycline 100mg/cap , 2 capsules (200mg) once weekly until the end of exposure.

Leptospirosis can be fatal if left untreated. So, monitor yourself for Signs and Symptoms of Leptospirosis! Stay Safe Kabayan!

Doxycycline is not safe for pregnant, breasfeeding mothers and children
