Launching of HPV VACCINATION (2nd dose) Against Cervical Cancer
MHO-San Antonio, Zambales, March 26, 2026:
The launching was led by Municipal Health Officer Dr. Jerald John Quintero with the DOH-Human Resource for Health Nurses and Midwives, today.
The HPV vaccine protects against infections caused by the human papillomavirus, a common virus transmitted through intimate contact. It significantly reduces the risk of cervical cancer and also offers protection against other HPV-related cancers, including a**l, oropharyngeal, pe**le, vulvar and vaginal cancers, as well as ge***al warts. The program aims to cover women ages 9-14 in the community and grade 4 students in public elementary schools.
