Pormal na isinagawa ang Concrete Pouring Ceremony bilang hudyat ng ganap na pagsisimula ng konstruksyon ng pagtatayo ng Bagong Pilipinas Cancer Care Center, sa pangunguna nina DMW Undersecretary Dominique Rubia-Tutay kasama sina Director Alan Pasumban, Director Alan Posadas, DPWH Representatives Engr. Mark Abay, Engr. Jerome Santos, kasama ang Acting Manager ng Thaison Builders & Developer Inc., Arch. Marthy Tamayo at COO Jose Vilmor Abrigol.

Bilang bahagi ng seremonya, isinagawa ang unang paglalagay ng konkreto sa mga pundasyon ng gusali, kasabay ng paghagis ng barya at bigas at pag-aalay ng dugo bilang mga tradisyunal na simbolo ng kasaganaan, magandang kapalaran, at ligtas na pagkumpleto ng proyekto.

Ang makasaysayang okasyong ito ay sumasalamin sa matibay na pagtutulungan ng pamahalaan at pribadong sektor sa pagtataguyod ng isang proyektong may matatag na pundasyon at malinaw na layunin para sa kapakinabangan ng publiko.

OFW Hospital successfully commemorated the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial 2026 on May 18, 2026, through a meaningful Candle Lighting Ceremony and HIV 101 Forums for patients, visitors, and hospital employees.

The activity served as a reminder of our shared responsibility to promote awareness, fight stigma, and strengthen education on HIV prevention, testing, treatment, and care. Through collaboration, learning, and advocacy, we continue to stand in solidarity with all individuals affected by HIV/AIDS.

The Philippine Council on Accreditation for Healthcare Organizations (PCAHO) conducted a certification audit at OFW Hospital Medical Facility for Overseas Workers and Seafarers (MFOWS) led by Dr. Marilyn D. Yap, PCAHO President together with Ms. Yolanda Zamora. The audit officially started with an opening conference with the Quality Management System Unit team and with all the unit heads followed by area rounds and evaluation visits across the facility. The audit ended with a closing conference summarizing all audit findings and discussed areas for improvement.

The PCAHO Certification reaffirms the hospital's commitment to quality healthcare and continuous improvement.

Together, we continue to strive for excellence in healthcare service and patience care.

The program was held under the expertise of Director Jocelyn Patrice Lolarga-Deco of the Migrant Workers Training Institute, with support from MWTI Training Specialists and our Human Resource Department.
