✨ Skin Tags: Harmless, But They Don’t Have to Stay
Have you noticed small, soft growths on your neck, underarms, eyelids, or other areas where the skin rubs together? These are commonly called skin tags. They are benign (non-cancerous) skin growths that are generally painless but may become irritated by clothing, jewelry, or shaving.
Although skin tags are harmless, they are more commonly seen with aging, skin friction, obesity, pregnancy, and conditions such as diabetes or insulin resistance.
If a skin growth changes in size or color, bleeds, becomes painful, or you’re unsure whether it’s a skin tag, it should be examined by a physician.
Safe removal is available. Skin tags can be removed through a quick, simple medical procedure performed by a doctor. Avoid cutting or removing them yourself, as this may lead to bleeding, infection, or scarring.
