Holiday Eye Safety: Fireworks, Party Sprays, and Toy-Related Injuries

Holiday fun comes with eye risks! Fireworks, party sprays, and sharp toys can cause serious eye injuries—especially in children.

Keep a safe distance from fireworks, avoid pointing party sprays toward the face, and choose age-appropriate toys.

👉 If an eye injury happens, seek immediate care from your ophthalmologist.

A PUBLIC ADVISORY FROM THE PHILIPPINE ACADEMY OF OPHTHALMOLOGY: Beware of unproven eye medicine, eye drops, and eye devices that are being peddled as a cure-all or prevention of different eye conditions. Consult your ophthalmologist for the proper care of your eyes.
