Try adding explosive movements in your training to fire up your legs to assist you in your run training:

3 sets of:
50m sprints (then 3 min recovery)
50m skips
10m broad Jumps
10m single leg broad Jumps (L/R)

Try this warm-up exercises before your l*d.
3 sets of:
10 tibial raises
10 single foot tip toes (l/r)
:20 quad stretch (l/r)
10 standing fire hydrants (l/r)
10 forward leg swings
10 side leg swings
10 air squats

Been awhile since I last trained for running. I finished half mary for about 2 1/2 hours.. not bad for an old timer😁

Try doing progressive distance running:
Day 1 - 2k run or 10 min run
Day 3 - 3k run or 15 mins
Day 5 (weekend) - 5k run
Week after start with 3k so on and so forth

Let me know how it feels after 2 weeks.
