Typhoid fever is a life-threatening bacterial infection (Salmonella typhi) spread through contaminated food and water. It is vaccine-preventable.
It is advisable for children starting 2yrs old, for adults- food handlers and for anyone exposed to unsafe drinking water (esp during this rainy/flood season) to be vaccinated.

Mag-ingat sa Leptospirosis! Ang patuloy na pag-ulan ay nagdudulot ng baha sa ating lugar. Kapag nakalusong sa baha (may sugat o wala) kumunsulta agad para sa gamot upang maiwasan ang leptospirosis.

August is National Breastfeeding Awareness Month, aligned with the WHO program to promote infant health, proper nutrition, and maternal support.

We had activities and lectures (With the joint efforts of CHO, SPCMS, PPS STC) to support breastfeeding. During one of the activities, my patient was one of the awardees during the games. I'm so happy that she practices the breastfeeding techinques I told her. :)

🚩 These are some of the RED FLAGS in toddlers aged 18 to 24 months.

❌No Pointing:
Not using fingers to indicate wants or share interests.

❌No Playful Interaction:
Avoiding simple games like peek-a-boo.

❌No Age-Appropriate Toy Play:
Spinning wheels instead of rolling a car.

❌No Eye Contact:
Looking past you rather than at you.

❌No Copying Actions/Sounds:
Not mimicking waves, claps, or words.

❌Not Responding to Name:
Not turning when called, despite normal hearing.
