We can rest in God’s hope today because we know that our tomorrow is already in His caring hands.

Today is the best time to experience His love. Today is the best time to rely in His strong arms for us to be carried through the hurdles of life. Today, we can cry to Him and be assured that He sees and hears us.

I know that we long for that day when all our pain will go away. And we have that hope in our hearts unremoved, because that is the reality our Lord has already prepared for us.

And this hope that is ours in Christ Jesus is more than enough for us to take hold. We still have the capacity to comfort people who are grieving even our own hearts are broken. We still can embrace the hurting because of the extravagant love of Christ in us.

We can do these things as imitators of who He is, because we know that the One who will wipe all our sorrows, our pains and our tears in the future, is with us,

in the now.

And this is the kind of hope, that will never ever disappoint.

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

When our faith is anchored on a solid foundation, no matter what it looks or feels like, we can declare over our lives that we are standing on the promises of our Mighty God! We are standing on the promises that will never fail! His word will not return empty and it will accomplish its purpose (Isa 55:11). There is a beautiful future that awaits! So even if our own plans fail or what is in the present does not match our expectations, we can trust that His ways are even better and His plans will never fail. He has the final word. And His love is more than enough for us to not worry for today and for the future to come.

Our God is faithful and trustworthy therefore we can hold tightly without wavering to this hope that we profess (Heb 10:23) for no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through Him, the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. (2 Cor 1:20)
