The 2-day activity, led by the Eye Hear Foundation, Resources for the Blind, Inc. Philippines, and NCSP, was held in Bacolod City last March 24-25. Participants from Leyte, Biliran, and Northern Samar were trained on the basic use of Arclight and underwent a practical session with clients at EHFI's eye and ear care center. This Arclight training is a first in the Philippines and is part of iStrength's goal of introducing new technologies in strengthening the service delivery and accessibility of eye care.
iStrength or the โStrengthening Inclusive Local Eye Health Systems in Three Provinces of Region 8 to provide Accessible Quality Services for Allโ project is initiated through a partnership between international and local NGOs. The project is funded by the Australian Aid, through CBM Australia and CBM Global Disability Inclusion on behalf of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).
