🩸BASIC INFORMATION BEFORE BLOOD DONATION🩸

✅ BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
🎂 Age: 18–65 years old
⚖️ Weight: At least 110 lbs. (50 kg)
💪 Health: Generally in good health
🪪 Identification: Bring a valid ID such as National ID, Driver’s License, PRC ID, Voter’s ID, etc.

🥗BEFORE BLOOD DONATION: PREPARATION

🍽️Eat well: Have a healthy meal 2–3 hours before donating. Avoid greasy or fatty foods.
💧Stay hydrated: Drink extra water or juice before your appointment.
😴Get enough rest: Have a good night’s sleep before donation day.
🚫Avoid certain items: Avoid alcohol and caffeine. If possible, avoid aspirin for two days before donating.
🪪Bring the essentials: Bring a valid ID and a list of any medications you are currently taking.

❤️AFTER BLOOD DONATION: RECOVERY

🪑Rest & have a snack: Stay in the recovery area for 10–15 minutes and enjoy the drink or snack provided.
🩹Keep the bandage on: Leave the strip bandage on for several hours and keep the area clean.
💦Hydrate: Drink extra fluids for the next 24–48 hours.
🏋️Avoid strenuous activities: Avoid heavy lifting or intense physical exercise for 24 hours.
⚠️If you feel dizzy: Lie down with your feet elevated. If the donation site starts bleeding again, apply pressure and raise your arm.
