Key Assistance for Developing Adolescents (KADA) Training�August 5–6, 2026
The Silay City Primary Care Facility – Health Education and Promotion Office successfully conducted the Key Assistance for Developing Adolescents (KADA) Training, a key initiative under the Health Promotion Playbook, Priority Area 6: Sexual and Reproductive Health.
The two-day training gathered representatives from the Primary Care Facility, including doctors, nurses, and midwives, together with Punong Barangays, Barangay Kagawads on Health, SK Officials, Barangay Health Workers, Silay City Peer Educators, the Department of Education (DepEd), the City Population and Development Office, the Local Youth Development Office, and the Department of Health – Human Resource for Health (DOH-HRH).
The activity aimed to strengthen inter-agency collaboration and establish a functional network of support that will promote and protect the health, well-being, and development of adolescents in our communities. Through this training, participants gained the knowledge and skills needed to effectively implement and sustain the KADA Centers in their respective areas.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our City Officials—Hon. Mayor Joedith C. Gallego, Vice Mayor Thomas Maynard Ledesma, and Councilor Noynoy Penuela—for their unwavering support and inspiring messages.
A huge thank you to our two beautiful, brilliant, and highly competent Resource Speakers, Ma’am Arnella and Ma’am Aisa!Thank you for generously sharing your knowledge, expertise, and experiences, and for providing invaluable technical assistance throughout the two-day KADA Training.
Our sincere appreciation also goes to Dr. Krisna Sharie T. Barnuevo for her unwavering support, guidance, and commitment to the successful conduct of this training; our HEPOs - Ms. Rhys, Ms. Erika, Ms. Jas for the assistance, special thanks to Ms. Angie for her hard work and dedication throughout the activity, and to Ms. April Eslawa for her creativity in designing the tarpaulins and certificates.
Finally, thank you to all our participants for your active engagement and participation throughout the two-day training. Together, let us continue building adolescent-friendly communities and ensure the successful implementation and functionality of our KADA Centers across Silay City.
