📢 Isang Paalala Mula sa St. Roch Animal Bite Center

Nakakalungkot pong balita ang pagkamatay ng isang 4-anyos na bata matapos makagat ng asong pinaniniwalaang may rabies. Ang ganitong pangyayari ay paalala sa ating lahat na ang rabies ay 100% preventable ngunit halos 100% fatal kapag nagkaroon na ng sintomas.

⚠️ Huwag balewalain ang anumang kagat, kalmot, o pagdila ng hayop sa sugat.
Kahit maliit ang sugat o tila maayos ang pakiramdam ng pasyente, mahalagang magpatingin agad sa Animal Bite Center.

✅ Hugasan agad ang sugat gamit ang sabon at umaagos na tubig sa loob ng hindi bababa sa 15 minuto.
✅ Magpatingin kaagad sa pinakamalapit na Animal Bite Center.
✅ Simulan agad ang anti-rabies vaccination kapag ito ay inirekomenda ng healthcare provider.
✅ Kumpletuhin ang buong iskedyul ng bakuna. Ang hindi pagtatapos ng vaccination schedule ay maaaring magpababa ng proteksyon laban sa rabies.
✅ Sundin ang lahat ng payo at follow-up schedule ng inyong doktor o healthcare provider.
