As part of our continuing efforts to prevent the spread of Dengue, the Rural Health Unit (RHU) Solsona - Sanitation Inspector, in coordination with the Barangay Council of Brgy. Manalpac, conducted a dengue misting activity in Sitio Laureta & Sitio Riverside of Brgy. Manalpac, Solsona, Ilocos Norte.

This activity aims to help reduce the population of mosquitoes and minimize the risk of dengue transmission in the community. 🦟❌

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Barangay Officials, health workers, and community members of Brgy. Manalpac for their cooperation and support in promoting a safer and healthier community. 🤝💚

In coordination with the Barangay Council of Barangay Manalpac, Solsona, Ilocos Norte, conducted a dengue coordination activity to strengthen community awareness and preparedness in preventing the spread of dengue together with the Sanitation Inspector and DOH-NHWSS with Level IV Nursing students from Department of Nursing, College of Health Sciences of Mariano Marcos State University.

The activity focused on discussing important dengue prevention measures, identifying possible mosquito breeding sites and promoting active participation of the community in maintaining a clean and safe environment.

The Solsona Primary Care Facility conducted a Health Education Session on Dengue Prevention through the initiative of the BSN IV-B GROUP 2 Nursing Students of Department of Nursing - MMSU College of Health Sciences 🩺👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

The activity focused on increasing awareness among patients, families, and community members about the importance of preventing dengue and maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

As part of the Municipal Government of Solsona intensified dengue prevention and control efforts, the Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Solsona, through its Sanitation Inspector, conducted a targeted misting operation in Sitio Baltao West and Sitio Nasaldet, Brgy. Santiago, following the confirmation of dengue cases in the area.

The activity was carried out to help reduce the adult mosquito population and minimize the risk of further dengue transmission within the affected community.

The MHO Solsona extends its sincere appreciation to the Barangay Council of Brgy. Santiago, under the leadership of Punong Barangay Henson V. Tan, for their invaluable support, coordination, and commitment in ensuring the successful implementation of this public health response.

⚠️ Misting alone will not eliminate dengue. Lasting protection requires the active participation of every household. We strongly encourage all residents to consistently practice the 5S Strategy Against Dengue:

🔍 Search and destroy mosquito breeding sites.
🛡️ Self-protection by using mosquito repellents and wearing protective clothing.
🏥 Seek early consultation if fever or other dengue symptoms develop.
🤝 Support targeted spraying or misting when recommended by health authorities.
💧 Sustain hydration while seeking immediate medical care for suspected dengue cases.

In support of the Municipal Government of Solsona intensified campaign against dengue, the Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Solsona, through its Sanitation Inspector, successfully conducted a School-Wide Misting Activity at Bagbag Solsona National High School early this morning.

This activity forms part of our continuing efforts to reduce the mosquito population and help protect our learners, teachers, school personnel, and the surrounding community from dengue.

⚠️ Remember: Misting is only one part of dengue prevention. The most effective way to stop dengue is to eliminate mosquito breeding sites and practice the 5S Strategy every day:

🔍 Search and destroy mosquito breeding places.
🛡️ Self-protection by using mosquito repellent, wearing long-sleeved clothing, and installing screens when possible.
🏥 Seek early consultation if you or a family member experiences fever or other symptoms of dengue.
🤝 Support targeted spraying or misting in hotspot areas when recommended by health authorities.
💧 Sustain hydration while seeking immediate medical care for suspected dengue cases.

💚 Dengue prevention is everyone's responsibility. Small actions taken every day can save lives.

🦟 Strengthening Our Fight Against Dengue! 💪

As part of our commitment to ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment, dengue misting/spraying was conducted at Solsona National High School, Brgy. Manalpac, Solsona, Ilocos Norte, as a preventive measure against the spread of dengue.

This initiative reflects our shared responsibility in protecting the health and well-being of our students, teachers, staff, and the entire school community. While misting/spraying helps reduce mosquito populations, we also encourage everyone to continue practicing the 5S Strategy:
✅ Search and destroy mosquito breeding sites.
✅ Secure self-protection by using mosquito repellents and wearing protective clothing.
✅ Seek early consultation when experiencing symptoms of dengue.
✅ Support spraying in hotspot areas when advised by health authorities.
✅ Stay hydration at all times.
