Today, we conducted a Hemodialysis Lay Forum for our patients and their watchers, focusing on essential self-care practices for those undergoing hemodialysis. Topics included proper care of the internal jugular (IJ) catheter and arteriovenous fistula (AVF), recognizing signs of infection or complications, maintaining good hygiene, medication adherence, nutrition, and the importance of keeping scheduled dialysis sessions.
By equipping patients and their families with practical knowledge, we hope to promote safer dialysis access care and better health outcomes.
