A successful training on animal bite and rabies exposure management was conducted on May 12–14, 2026 at St. Louis Hospital, Tacurong City, with esteemed DOH resource speakers.

Our heartfelt thanks go to our dedicated resource speakers, enthusiastic participants, and of course, St. Louis Hospital - Tacurong City.

This achievement would not have been possible without everyone’s support and collaboration.

🐾 Rabies Awareness Month 2026 🐾

In celebration of Rabies Awareness Month, the SLH Animal Bite Center proudly conducted a Lay Forum on Animal Bite and Rabies Exposure Management at St. Louis Hospital – GVS Hall on March 24, 2026.

The forum was led by our dedicated ABC Nurse, who shared vital knowledge on:

• Proper first aid for animal bite incidents
• Rabies exposure categories and risk assessment
• Importance of timely vaccination and post-exposure prophylaxis
• Preventive measures to protect families and communities

👩‍⚕️ The participants were our very own nurses of St. Louis Hospital, who play a crucial role in frontline rabies prevention and patient education.

This activity highlights our commitment to empowering healthcare workers with updated knowledge and skills to strengthen rabies prevention and control. Together, we continue to build a safer, healthier community free from rabies.
