๐ŸŽ€ A New Milestone in Bringing Care Closer to Our Patients

The Medical Social Service Satellite Office at the Orthopedic and Surgical Ward of the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Medical Center (GCGMMC) was officially inaugurated through a ribbon-cutting ceremony and blessing, marking another step toward making essential social services more accessible to our patients and their families.

The ceremony was graced by Dr. Miguelito S. Jayoma, Medical Center Chief II, together with Dr. Grace Quipit, Chief of Medical Professional Staff II, Mr. Frederick Namoc, Chief Health Program Officer, Ms. Estrellita Orevillo, Head of Medical Social Service, AHPS department heads and members of the Medical Social Service.

With the opening of this satellite office, patients in the Orthopedic and Surgical Ward can have closer and more convenient access to social work assistance, guidance, and support throughout their hospital journey.

This initiative reflects GCGMMCโ€™s continuing commitment to patient-centered, compassionate, and accessible healthcareโ€”where every patient receives not only medical care, but also the social support they need. ๐Ÿ’™

Yesterday, August 17, 2026, Ma'am Norma Romero, Chief Pharmacist, together with Ma'am Caryl Inog, Pharmacist IV of the Pharmacy Section, conducted the Experiential Pharmacy Practice (EPP) Hospital Pharmacy Orientation for the 4th-year Pharmacy student interns from the University of Bohol.

The orientation serves as a guide for the interns as they begin their 300-hour hospital internship, equipping them with the knowledge and expectations needed throughout their training at GCGMMC.
