Jail Ministry

As part of its continuing commitment to community health and wellness, LMCDC conducted a Jail Ministry at the BJMP-Tagudin last July 22, 2026.

A health lecture on “Lifestyle Approaches to Combat Chronic Diseases” was delivered to promote healthy living and empower 40+ Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) with practical strategies to prevent and manage lifestyle-related illnesses.

The outreach also included Karada Scan body composition assessment, Ishihara and Color Vision Screening, and a feeding program, providing holistic care that addressed the participants’ nutritional, preventive, and health screening needs.

The LMCDC Public Health Team continuously emphasize the importance of proper handwashing as one of the simplest yet most effective ways to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. This vital message is consistently reinforced among our patients during clinic consultations and integrated into every community advocacy lecture, outreach activity, and health education campaign. By promoting proper hand hygiene, we empower individuals and families to protect themselves, safeguard their communities, and cultivate lifelong healthy habits.

Together, we planted more than trees—we planted hope, stewardship, and faith. 🌱

By God’s grace, 100 tree seedlings were successfully planted through the collective efforts of 10 UMC-ISD churches, LMCDC & DENR-CENRO during the “ISD UMYAF Tree Planting Activity”.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their unwavering support, and to DENR–CENRO Tagudin for providing the seedlings that made this activity possible.

May these trees grow strong as a lasting symbol of our shared commitment to caring for God’s creation and nurturing future generations. 🌳💚

COMMUNITY SERVICE | BASIC LIFE SUPPORT & CPR TRAINING

LMCDC had the opportunity to collaborate with Judge Celestino Guerrero Memorial Hospital (JCGMH) under the leadership of Dr. Mila P. Guerrero, the Philippine Red Cross–Ilocos Chapter, Southern Ilocos Sur Medical Society (SISMS) and Barangay Ag-agrao, Sta. Maria in conducting the “Bare Hands that Care” Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR Training on June 20, 2026.

The activity was attended by 80 participants, primarily Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Kagawads, and community facilitators, who were equipped with essential life-saving knowledge and hands-on skills in recognizing emergencies, performing high-quality CPR, and responding effectively during critical situations.

Through this collaborative initiative, participants were empowered to become first responders in their communities, helping create safer and more prepared barangays—because every pair of hands trained in CPR has the potential to save a life.
Thank you JCGMH, Dr. Mila , PRC-Ilocos Chapter & SISMS.
