Lesson learned the hard way: Pop-ups are for shopping, not for piercings! 🚩 Always go to a reputable and professional artist/ shop with proper sterilization facilities and quality jewelries. Pierce at your own risk but make informed decisions!

This client came to us 5 days post-piercing with an infection and was already on doctor-prescribed antibiotics. We did an upsize with industrial bar (As the swelling is so intense we can only use a longer straight bar initially)

It’s normal for infected piercings to swell for a week or more--during this time, just continue your medication and keep the area clean. We only advise handling the piercing when cleaning away the oozing pus; otherwise, just leave it alone and let it heal.

Most importantly: do not remove the jewelry. Keeping it in allows the abscess or pus to drain properly while the antibiotics do their work. Pulling it out only risks trapping the infection inside!
