Singaw na hindi gumagaling pagkalipas ng 2 linggo? Huwag balewalain.

A mouth ulcer or canker sore usually heals within one to two weeks. Karamihan ng singaw ay hindi cancer. Pero ang sugat sa bibig na hindi gumagaling ay kailangang masuri upang malaman ang tunay na sanhi.

Magpatingin sa ENT–Head and Neck Specialist kung ang singaw ay:

• Hindi gumagaling pagkalipas ng 2 linggo
• Lumalaki o bumabalik sa parehong lugar
• Masakit, dumudugo, o may pamamanhid
• May kasamang bukol sa leeg
• Nagdudulot ng hirap sa paglunok o pagbabago ng boses

Mas mahalaga ring magpatingin kung naninigarilyo o madalas uminom ng alak.

While not all cancers can be prevented, certain steps can help lower risk:

Do all thyroid nodules need surgery?

Not necessarily.

Many thyroid nodules are benign and may only need monitoring. Some may require further evaluation through thyroid ultrasound, blood tests, or ultrasound-guided FNAB, also known as fine needle aspiration biopsy.

Surgery may be considered if the thyroid nodule is suspicious for cancer, continues to grow, causes symptoms such as difficulty swallowing, breathing concerns, or neck pressure, or if biopsy results suggest higher risk.
