The Basic Life Support (BLS) Training for Lay Rescuers was successfully conducted at New Life Tagum, empowering participants with the essential knowledge and hands-on skills needed to respond confidently during medical emergencies. From recognizing cardiac arrest to performing high-quality CPR and providing immediate lifesaving interventions, every participant took a meaningful step toward becoming a capable first responder. ⛑️💪

This meaningful activity was facilitated by the dedicated team of the Davao Regional Medical Center – Health Emergency and Disaster Management Unit ( DRMC HEDMU ) as part of its continuing commitment to strengthen community emergency preparedness and promote a culture of safety and resilience. 🚨🤝 DRMC-HEDMU regularly conducts lifesaving and emergency preparedness trainings to equip both healthcare professionals and community members with vital emergency response skills.

The Davao Regional Medical Center (DRMC) successfully participated in the Second Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), demonstrating the hospital's commitment to disaster preparedness, emergency response, and the safety of our patients, employees, and stakeholders. 🏥💪

The activity was made possible through the active participation and cooperation of DRMC employees and staff, in close coordination with the Bureau of Fire Protection – Davao del Norte (BFP DavNor) and the DRMC Health Emergency and Disaster Management Unit (HEDMU). Together, participants practiced the essential "Duck, Cover, and Hold" procedure and emergency response protocols to ensure readiness during earthquake emergencies. 👨‍🚒🚒🦺

This exercise serves as a reminder that preparedness is everyone's responsibility. Through continuous training and collaboration, we strengthen our ability to respond effectively and protect lives when disasters strike. 🌍⚠️

The DOH Basic Life Support (BLS) Training, facilitated by the Davao Regional Medical Center – Health Emergency and Disaster Management Unit (DRMC-HEDMU), successfully brought together healthcare professionals and personnel for a day of intensive learning, practical exercises, and hands-on emergency response training. 🚨⛑️

Participants enhanced their knowledge and skills in CPR, rescue breathing, choking management, and other essential life-saving interventions—ensuring they are better prepared to respond effectively during medical emergencies. ❤️💪
