SAMAHAN mourns the passing of a cherished member and elder of Tagum South Central Adventist Church. See you in resurrection morning, Elder Pepe. We will miss you.

With heavy hearts, we remember 𝐄𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐩𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐚, a faithful servant of God whose life was a beautiful reflection of humility, love, and dedication to ministry. He served the church with faith, always ready to lend his hands and heart wherever needed. As an elder, he spoke with wisdom, gentleness, and compassion, touching many lives through his humble words and Christ-centered example.

His joy in serving was evident not only in leading and guiding others spiritually, but also in simple acts of love; helping in the kitchen, preparing food for visitors, and actively joining every fellowship with a cheerful spirit. He found happiness in serving others, showing that true ministry is not only in preaching but also in loving through action.

His passing came unexpectedly, leaving sorrow in our hearts, yet we hold on to the truth that God’s plans are always greater than our understanding. Though death is painful and often unpredictable, we trust that the Lord has a purpose in everything. Elder Pepe’s life remains a testimony of faithful service, and his legacy will continue to inspire us to serve God with the same passion and humility.

𝗔 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻

December 1, 2025 - Brgy Sidayon, Panabo, Davao del Norte

The Women’s Ministries Department of the Seventh-day Adventist Tagum South Central Church, in collaboration with the SAMAHAN Health Department, held an impactful community outreach and gift giving event on December 1, 2024, bringing free healthcare services and gifts to the residents of Brgy. Sidayon, Panabo, Davao del Norte.

The event, spearheaded by Women’s Ministries Head Mellanie Alinsonorin, was graced by the presence of church leaders, including Pastor Eper Punay (Church Pastor), Pastor Ebajo, Asst. Pastor Mandaguio and Elder Jeffrey Labios, head elder of the Women’s Ministries and Health Ministries Department. Doctors Clyde Pacatang and Gr**go Pelaez, along with the dedicated members of both ministries provided invaluable support throughout the program.

Medical Mission Brings Vital Healthcare Services to Talaingod, Davao del Norte

In a heartwarming display of compassion and dedication to community welfare, a medical mission organized by Ms. Rovelyn M. Henson and her Family, along with Osburn Church, Team ASAY (Always Say Absolutely Yes!), SAMAHAN (South Central Adventist Medical and Health Association), PAMAS (Philippine Adventist Medical Aviation Services), Reyes Optical Clinic and Saving Smiles provided essential healthcare services to the underserved residents of Talaingod, Davao del Norte.

The event, which took place last April 7, 2024 in barangay Sto. Niño Talaingod, aimed to address various health concerns prevalent in the community. Among the vital services offered were dental tooth extraction, medical check-ups, eye examinations, and minor operations. These services, often inaccessible to marginalized communities, were provided free of charge, alleviating the burden of healthcare expenses for many.

Team ASAY, SAMAHAN, PAMAS, Reyes Optical Clinic and Saving Smiles volunteers worked tirelessly throughout the day, conducting screenings, consultations, and procedures with utmost care and professionalism. Their commitment to making a difference in the lives of the residents remained unwavering.

The success of the medical mission in Talaingod underscores the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing healthcare disparities in remote and underserved areas. Ms. Rovelyn M. Henson, Osburn SDA Church, Team ASAY, SAMAHAN, PAMAS, Reyes Optical and Saving Smiles exemplify the spirit of altruism and solidarity, inspiring hope and healing in the communities they serve.
