A gentle reminder for my patients and bantays 🤍
- Dr. Julia 👩⚕️
When I give my personal number, it is so you can reach me when needed. However, it does not mean that I am available 24/7. If your concern is not an emergency, please leave a message first or ask if it is okay to call. Wait for my reply and do not bombard me with messages.
🏥 If you are admitted:
For concerns such as room transfers, billing, documents, or other hospital processes, please approach the nurses’ station or the appropriate hospital department first. I am not in the hospital 24/7, and not every hospital process is under my control. In private hospitals, the resident-on-duty can assist with these concerns and relay important matters to me.
🏥 For government hospitals:
Please manage your expectations. We deal with high patient volumes and limited manpower, so we follow a triage system—patients with more urgent and critical needs are attended to first. Not every request can be accommodated immediately, and staff cannot always provide updates or assistance on demand.
👩⚕️ If you have questions about your patient’s management:
Feel free to ask during rounds or politely ask when I would be available for a more detailed discussion. In most cases, the diagnosis, treatment plan, and expectations have already been discussed during consultation or admission.
A little patience, proper communication, and respect for the healthcare team go a long way. We are all working toward the same goal: safe and appropriate care for our patients. 🤍
