Empowering the Youth Through HIV Awareness and Education

The Tanza Wellness Center – Social Hygiene Clinic successfully conducted an HIV Awareness and HIV Screening on May 29, 2026, during the Anti-Drugs Council & Sangguniang Kabataan K.K.D.A.T. and Youth Development Program 2026.

With the theme, "Anti-Drugs Awareness, Mental Health Awareness, HIV Awareness, and Teenage Pregnancy Prevention," the program aimed to equip young people with essential knowledge and life skills to make informed and responsible decisions for their health and well-being.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Mr. Ernelo Rosita for sharing his expertise and valuable insights on HIV Awareness. His informative discussion helped participants better understand HIV, AIDS and STIs, the importance of prevention, early testing, and breaking the stigma surrounding HIV.

The program also provided comprehensive discussions on Teenage Pregnancy Prevention, Mental Health Awareness, Substance Abuse Prevention, and S*xual Abuse Awareness, empowering the youth to become responsible, informed, and health-conscious members of the community.

The Tanza Wellness Center – Social Hygiene Clinic remains committed to promoting health education, encouraging HIV awareness, and supporting initiatives that empower the youth to build a healthier and brighter future.

Bringing Free and Confidential HIV Screening Closer to the Community

The Tanza Wellness Center – Social Hygiene Clinic, in partnership with the Philippine Tuberculosis Society, Inc. (PTSI), successfully conducted HIV Awareness and HIV Screening activities on May 25, 2026, at Barangay Daang Amaya II and June 2, 2026, at Barangay Julugan II, Tanza, Cavite.

These community-based activities aimed to raise awareness about HIV prevention, promote the importance of early detection, and provide residents with access to FREE and CONFIDENTIAL HIV Screening services in a safe and supportive environment.

In addition, the Philippine Tuberculosis Society, Inc. conducted Active Case Finding through FREE Chest X-ray services to support ongoing tuberculosis prevention and control efforts within the community.

Through continuous collaboration and community outreach, we remain committed to promoting health awareness, encouraging early diagnosis, and making essential healthcare services more accessible to every Tanzeño. Together, we can build healthier and stronger communities through education, prevention, and timely healthcare interventions.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all community members, barangay officials, healthcare workers, and partners who participated in and supported these successful activities. Your cooperation and commitment make initiatives like these possible.

HIV Awareness and HIV Screening at Buntis Congress 2026

On May 22, 2026, the Buntis Congress 2026 was successfully held at the Tanza Convention Center, bringing together the local government and community to provide compassionate and essential healthcare services for mothers and their babies.

As part of the event, the Tanza Wellness Center – Social Hygiene Clinic conducted an HIV Awareness Lecture and HIV Screening to educate pregnant women about HIV, the importance of early testing, and the prevention of mother-to-child transmission. These services play a vital role in promoting safer pregnancies and healthier outcomes for both mothers and their children.

We are delighted by the active participation and support of pregnant women from different barangays of Tanza. The event became even more meaningful through informative health lectures, HIV screening and testing services, distribution of Buntis Kits, and vitamins aimed at supporting healthy pregnancies.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Nurse Jussel B. Martinez for sharing his expertise and valuable insights on HIV and pregnancy. Your dedication to educating and empowering our expectant mothers contributes greatly to raising awareness and promoting the health and well-being of both mothers and babies.

We also thank everyone who participated, assisted, and supported the successful implementation of this program. Together, we remain committed to delivering compassionate healthcare services and empowering our community through education and prevention.

Today, May 21, 2026, the Tanza Wellness Center – Social Hygiene Clinic, in partnership with the Philippine Tuberculosis Society, Inc., once again brought FREE and CONFIDENTIAL HIV Screening services to the community, this time at Barangay Daang Amaya II, Tanza, Cavite.

Last May 8, 2026, hearts came together at the 3rd Floor of the Tanza Superhealth Center as the Tanza Wellness Center - Social Hygiene Clinic successfully conducted the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial 2026.

For a few meaningful hours, the venue became more than just a place for a program, it became a space filled with remembrance, understanding, courage, and hope. As candles softly glowed in the hands of participants, we remembered the lives lost to HIV and AIDS, honored their stories, and stood beside those who continue to live bravely every single day.

Each candle carried a message — that no one should ever face HIV with fear, shame, or discrimination. Together, we shared not only awareness, but also compassion, acceptance, and love for one another.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our guest speakers, Pastor Ronaldo Tomas and Ma’am Haydeliza Maderazo, STI/HIV/AIDS Provincial Program Coordinator, for touching our hearts through their inspiring messages and valuable knowledge.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to Sir Manuel D. Labro Jr. for generously sharing his wisdom and helping strengthen HIV awareness within our community.

Special thanks to Nurse Jade Blancaflor for gracefully serving as the Master of Ceremony and helping make the event even more meaningful and memorable.

We would also like to sincerely thank Doctor Christmon Evan P. Santos, Municipal Health Officer, for his continued support, guidance, and dedication to the program. Your commitment greatly helps us continue our mission of promoting awareness, compassion, and accessible healthcare services for the community.

Under the leadership of Mayor Archangelo “SM” B. Matro, we remain committed to delivering compassionate and quality healthcare services to every Tanzeño.
