On September 26, 2026, employees of Tuao District Hospital (TDH), headed by Dr. Rowena Martina C. Sion, Chief of Hospital, actively participated in the tree-planting activity held at Cato, Tuao, Cagayan, in support of this yearโ€™s Tuao Patronal Fiesta.

The tree-planting activity was spearheaded by the Local Government Unit of Tuao, headed by Mayor William N. Mamba, highlighting the importance of collective action in promoting environmental sustainability and a greener community.

Representing Tuao District Hospital, ๐Œ๐ซ. ๐‰๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐. ๐๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐จ๐, ๐‘๐, ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ž ๐ˆ (๐ƒ๐‘๐‘๐Œ-๐‡), took part in a comprehensive learning experience focused on strengthening hospital preparedness, resilience, and continuity of healthcare services during emergencies and disasters.

The training covered key areas which include: (1) strengthening hospitals against earthquakes, typhoons, floods, and other hazards, (2) protecting equipment, utilities, medical systems, and essential infrastructure, (3) enhancing hospital emergency management, Incident Command System (ICS), triage, mass casualty management, and surge capacity, (4) assessing hospital vulnerabilities and identifying areas for improvement, and applying preparedness strategies through practical exercises and facility-specific disaster risk reduction plans.

The seminar emphasized that ๐š ๐ฌ๐š๐Ÿ๐ž ๐ก๐จ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ข๐ญ๐š๐ฅ ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ซ๐ž๐ฆ๐š๐ข๐ง ๐Ÿ๐ฎ๐ง๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐›๐ž๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ๐ž, ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ , ๐š๐ง๐ ๐š๐Ÿ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ ๐š ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐š๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ โ€” ensuring that essential health services continue when communities need them most.
