Mosquito Prevention Starts at Home

Help keep Treasure Island mosquito-free! After rain, mosquitoes can breed in even a bottle cap's worth of standing water. Here's how you can help:

✅ Get rid of old tires and containers
✅ Dump or cover standing water, including debris from recent rains that is holding water.
✅ Clean clogged roof gutters and drain flat roofs
✅ Keep trash cans and rain barrels covered with tight-fitting lids
✅ Dress in light-colored, long-sleeved clothing with closed-toed shoes.
✅ Defend using an insect repellent with a CDC-recommended ingredient such as DEET, Picaridin, IR3535, or Oil of Lemon Eucalyptus.
